The guide details of
CARAVANS
Description
:
The exterior of caravans is subject to weathering and the factory paint is often chalking by the time repainting is considered. While aluminium is often the most common surface, any specification would use a primer which can cope well with other surfaces, as there are likely to be areas where bare metal or wood is exposed.
Paint
:
Spot prime all bare aluminium surfaces with Permoglaze Two-Pack Etch primer. Build up these areas to the same level as the existing paint work with Permoglaze Undercoat. 1st coat : Permoglaze Undercoat 2nd coat : Permoglaze gloss Finish Note : A second coat of Permoglaze Gloss Finish is beneficial, particularly on the roof.
Preparation
:
Scrape off any flaking paint back to a sound base. Wash with a solution of detergent and water and rub down while wet with 320 grade wet-or-dry abrasive paper, making sure that any proud edges are well feathered off. Rinse thoroughly with clean water, and allow to dry.
