| Description | Face bricks are not normally painted, but usually varnished to improve their appearance. They are usually smooth and non-porous and can give adhesion problems if painted.
As brickwork comprises bricks and mortar, it is essential for the mortar to be firm and non-friable. |

| Paint | Two to three coats of Permoglaze Brick Dressing. |
| | | |
| Preparation | Scrape off mortar splashes and brush down with stiff fibre brushes. Ensure that all new brickwork is allowed to dry out completely before applying a brick varnish. Treat any areas affected by organic growth with Permoglaze Biocidal Wall Wash followed by Permoglaze Fungicidal Treatment depending on the region.
